Am I one of the Finalists of the Daddy’s Dearest Contest??

The minute the page loaded, without reading the 1st sentence, the eyes already caught something that I familiar with very much… yes, it’s my blog link. A BIG Q popped up in mind as I was scrolling down the page (still not reading the 1st sentence)! I can see my blog link appears 4 times in the list of 40 links!

I scrolled up and read the the following text:

“Here’s the list of the 10 finalists chose by 4 juries (not in order of 1 to 10). Hence, links appearing more than once means he/she is chosen by more than 1 jury." (the original entry was deleted)

I am a bit confused yet happy at the same time. Well, until now (as I’m typing this) I’m still blur. Am I one of the finalists of the contest??

Not that I forgot 'bout the contest, it's just that... yaa you know... the organiser received more than 100 participants and of coz the others also giving their best photo!
Since my link appear 4 times and the result was chosen by 4 juries... wow! All four juries picked mine rite?? *wink*

here to refresh which photo I've actually uploaded for the contest (in case you also got confuse since I've been participated in several contest lately. *smile*
As for the full list, click here and pls help me to confirm it ya...

I hope I'll be among the lucky 3 winners for the contest!! *grin* Result will be out this Friday! *dag dig dug*

Daddy's Day vs Daddy's Away...

Happy Belated Daddy’s Day to all the daddies out there especially to my dearest hubby.

I know I’m late on this but I feel so bad pulak for didn’t post any entry on Father’s Day since I posted bout Mother’s Day. To make it worst, there’s not special celebration either. No cake, no gift… (tengah bulan ni!!) *sigh*

Sorry Dear… I know I owe you a father’s day gift and another gift for your success to quit smoking… or maybe we should wait till you quit it TOTALLY! *wink*

Beside the ‘tengah bulan’ excuse… To be frank, I feel weird to celebrate Father’s Day coz I never do! Yup! Never in my whole life! I’m revealing something bout myself here…

Once upon a time, a husband left his family just to be with other woman! He doesn’t even bother to have a proper separation with the wife – NO DIVORCE! Left just like that... Leaving the wife with their children without any financial supports. Not daily. Not monthly. Not yearly.

Of coz at the earlier stage, the wife went crazy hunting for her husband! No wife could actually accept that kind of situation rationally, I believe. Waiting for him to come back isn’t helping at all! The wife got bored and fed-up. She has to think of the children. So, she woke up and struggles a lot to raise their children with her low income. *sad*

Finally, after 6 years of MIA, the husband suddenly called up the daughter for a ‘hi’.

“Who’s this?” the daughter asked the man.

Don’t you think it’s sad when a daughter has to point out the question to her own dad!!!!!

So, don’t blame me for not celebrating the father’s day before. I wish I could throw away the grudge I have inside… *sigh*

Let's just continue the story above some other time ok… *smile*

Daddy's Dearest Contest

Yup, I’m in a contest again! Can’t resist but to participate lah! *smile*

And again I was digging for a perfect photo for my second contest in conjunction with Father’s Day which will be falls on 21/6/09. This time is organized by Isabelle…frankly. *wink*

Click here for more details on the contest and the rules and regulations yaa… By the way, it’s closing on 19/6/09. Mm… I’m not going to mention about the prize coz I don’t really bother either. Am I?? Hehehe… Sort of lah! Coz, my entry is just for fun! *smile*

As simple as the other contest, I just need to upload a unique or dramatic photo of a father with son (or daughter) and explain why I think the photo is unique or dramatic.

Well, I might be digging for a photo, somehow I’ve thought of this one and only photo for this contest.

To me, it’s unique...
Lil' Rayyan is still new with the lappy, so need daddy to assist him. He did as what daddy instructed and he did it well *clap hands* and deserved a smile from daddy. Good boy! Heheheh…

Mia, try your luck lah... :p

Can You Quit Smoking?

If you are a heavy smoker (consuming 1-2 packs per day), it’s a MISSION IMPOSSIBLE! Otherwise, buli diselamatkan lagi… Heheeh..

No, I’m not so sure either… lol

Anyway, out of a sudden, tiada angin, tiada rebut, hubby dropped me an email last few weeks requesting me to buy him a STOP Kit. A kit to stop smoking! Yeah... the name says it all.

As I can still remember very well, my dear hubby had promised me that he will quit smoking one day… I have been waiting for the day to come for 5 years!! Heheheh… At first, he said that he will quit after we get married. Next, he said he will quit if we have a baby. And now the baby is no longer a baby. He is 7.5 month old now. And I’m no longer hoping for the day will come. Nevertheless, I am still silently hoped that the ‘intake’ is lesser and lesser each day. *smile*

The request will be definitely make me smile from ear to ear. Lol.

It was hubby’s colleague recommended the product to him. So, we google it and it’s good that we can purchase the product online. Online shopping is great huh?! All sellers stated that the normal price would be RM63 inclusive the shipping cost. However, I kept on googling for the best price (I bet you guys will do the same!) and Yakin Jaya Enterprise offers RM56.50 + RM4 shipping fee. Still cheaper than RM63 ok! So, I made my order & payment and received my parcel the next day!

After trying the product for less than a week, the result is positive! *grin* Yeah… whenever you feel like smoking, just spray it on your tongue, and you won’t feel like smoking anymore. No, don’t even try to smoke, coz even you try it, your will definitely throw it away. I think the taste that bother. That’s what hubby told me.

As a final result, hubby still smokes though. Only a stick per day, before he goes to bed at nite. I’m still proud of his effort though. *clap hands* He was trying not to smoke the whole day yesterday and ended up with eating, eating and eating!! Replacing the smoking activities with eating?? Errr… Oh my… gaining kgs for sure!!

Anyway, for more info of the product, pls click here.

Contest oh Contest

The result of the Father’s Day Contest is out. Nope, I am not the winner. I knew it actually. Why? Because all other contestants’ photos are great! They really captured the ‘moment’ between a dad and a son / daughter nie. For full result, pls click here.

Since I’m in still in the contest mode, another story of contest I entered recently for lil’ Cucu. *wink*

Yup, it’s a contest organized by Tesco. With a minimum purchase of baby products amounting to RM30 in a single receipt, customer is eligible to an entry for the above contest.

So, I submitted two pics (as below) for the contest. Hehehe…

And there is another contest that I’m still considering whether to participate or not. Hmm..

LEGO Makes Impressive Buildings Replica

A pile of Lego bricks, of assorted colors and sizes.

I remember I used to having fun playing Lego, building the colourful bricks into various shapes when I was a kids. No, I am never good in constructing them. A simple house will do. *smile*

There was this Lego's fair (I simply named it!) with the theme Treasure Lego in KLCC last week. I was actually wandering alone while waiting for hubby.

So, just wanna share what they have done with the LEGO bricks. Heheheh... Buildings replica of...

#1 Petronas Twin Towers - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Completed in 1998 and became the tallest building in the world on the date of completion. It still remains the tallest twin buildings in the world thou.

Bricks used approx 150k.

#2 The Taj Mahal - Agra, India

A Mausoleum built on the orders of Shah Jehan, the fifth Muslim Mogul emperor, to honor the memory of his beloved late wife. The emperor was consequently jailed and it is said, that could then only see the Taj Mahal out of his small cell window.

Bricks used approx 200k.

#3 The Pyramid at Chichen Itza - Yucatan, Mexico

Chichen Itza, the most famous Mayan temple city, served as the political and economic center of the Mayan civilization. The Pyramid itself was the last and arguably the greatest, of all Mayan temples.

Bricks used approx 100k.

#4 The Roman Colosseum - Rome, Italy

It was opened in 80AD and was originally called the Flavian Amphitheatre. The largest ever built in the Roman Empire. It is one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering. Capable of seating 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. It stays partially ruined due to damage caused by devastating earthquakes and stone-robbers

Bricks used approx 100k.

#5 Petra Treasury - Petra, Jordan

Petra was the glittering capital of the Nabataean empire of King Aretas IV. The Nabataeans provided their city with great tunnels construction and water chambers. Today, the Palace Tombs of Petra with 42-meter-high Hellenistic temple facade on the El-Deir Monastery, are impressive examples of Middle Eastern culture.

Bricks used approx 200k.

#6 Machu Picchu - Urubamba Valley, Peru

The Incan emperor, in the 15th century, built a city in the clouds on the mountains known as Machu Picchu (Old Mountain). The city remained 'lost' for over three centuries before it was rediscovered in 1911.

Credits to the descriptions provided. *wink*

While the parents enjoying the impressive buildings replica, the children enjoy themselves at the Playing Zone too. *grin*

Father’s Day Contest

Another contest (A Father's Day Contest) runs by Mama Tisya. In fact, today is the last day. I need to post this up before 2pm. *gulp* Result will be out on tomorrow. Wow!

Let see what photo I have for this contest. A photo between a dad and son or daughter that shower with loves! The more loves you show, the more chances to win… Ok, I exaggerate it a bit! *grin*

After been browsing all the pics again and again, I picked this one for the contest.

Story behind the scene (script by Rayyan)

Daddy Nuzirwan and me Rayyan Adrian (pstt… I am 7.5 mths old ok) were having a son and dad heart to heart session last Saturday. Hehehe… I asked daddy when I can have a sister or brother to play with. I’m kind of jealous with bro hakim (my cousin) as he has sis Hana to play with and they even got a lot of toys. Daddy says I can have a sister or bro and even tons of toys if I be a good boy. See… I was listening to dad with concentrate. *smile*

Err… Mummy seems does not have any plan for this coming Father’s Day. I wish I can buy daddy a new shoes coz his shoes been stolen recently. Poor dad! And I wish I can bring daddy to Bukit Tinggi. I know mummy has been looking forward to be there. Wanna celebrate Father’s Day with both daddy and mummy with cool air and environment since the weather here in KL is really hot for the past few weeks. Even with fan in front, I still get shower with sweat. *wink*

Let see if I'm the winner. Kekekek...

Photo Scrapping

Since... err.. not really sure since when... But, feel like ages to me! I have been wanting to create an album that is not just an album with the normal or standard photos in it but a custom made photobook.

I have seen it in photo shops that provided this service of customizing photos by giving them a personal touch with text or additional graphics. In fact, I did asked further. 40pcs photo will be cramp into few pages of album or so call photobook and cost you around RM28 and above. What do you think? But, it make me think twice thou.

Not sure why I didn't surf the net before for this services. And so happened that I stumbled into (mungkin juga terlampau free! Heheh..) this page of LadyInspired who provides this service of photo scrapping and the cost is much much much cheaper than the photo shop!

So, I started communicating with her via emails and confirmed my order. *wink* With a merely less than RM4 (almost 40 pcs single photos cramped in 13pcs), I've got lil' Cucu's photos scrapped nicely. *grin*

The result... satisfied!! You can then send the scrapped photos to be developped. *smile*

2 samples enuff lah.. ;p

While in the progress of scrapping, I found out another websites that you can work on with the scrapping personally. Templates are ready for your convenient. You just have to play with it. Why not get yourself have fun with the photos scrapping thingy?? Pls click here and here.

Enjoy and have fun!

Last Friday morning, when I was just arrive the office, not even put down my handbag ni, my dear Datuk ngam-ngam came out from his office. Nope, I am no late. He came early pulak that morning. So, I greeted him ‘Morning’.

“Just aa Just..” Alamak… early morning already kacau <- dlm hati of coz. I then tailing him went in his office.

“This is mine. I bought it with my own money. But, now I’m not using it anymore. You ask them to check if there’s any company wanna buy it.”

I looked at the lappy. Brain started thinking.

“Old model aa Datuk?”

“You sell it to me with a cheap price lah Datuk?” Nope. I didn’t manage to ask this Q.

“Why? You want aa?” He asked.

“If you want, give it to you lah!” Hahahhah… Dgn lebar tangan la apa lagik!! Luckily, I didn’t ask him to sell it to me kan? lol

“THANK YOU DATUK!” Yeahh… I really stressed the thank you ni. *grin*

Wedding Dinner at Hotel Renaissance

A wedding invitation card handed to all the employees in my office by the receptionist a week before the dinner date stated on the card. Yeah… the company’s Chairman is inviting the employees to his daughter’s wedding dinner at Hotel Renaissance on May 23, 2009 (lama sdh kan?!).

Since 90% of the employees confirmed their attendance, so I confirmed myself as well and started to think what to wear for the dinner. Normal lah kan!

It was raining heavily last Saturday. Luckily, it was going to stop (almost stopped!) when hubby drove me to the hotel. Nope, hubby didn’t go along. Why? Emmm… Because he gets bored easily and I scared when the face turn sour it will effect mine as well. Sorry Dear. Next time la I bring you along k… *wink*

Had promised with some other colleagues to meet at the entrance of the hotel. Somehow only one of them turned up and the rest still at the parking bays. So, we climbed the staircase and headed to the Ballroom at first floor. Joined few other colleagues at the ballroom’s lobby, chit chatting before went in to the ballroom. Ramai jugak lah attendees. And of coz meja pun banyak.

The first thing that caught the eyes’ attention is of coz the pelamin. The decoration is very impressive. Wow! There was also a group of musician playing traditional instruments. Performances of silat and 2 or 3 Malay’s traditional dances. The songs’ selections were good too. At least, we didn’t get bored in there. Kan Kak Wan??

We enjoy taking pictures among the colleagues and the only persons that missed out were the pengantin. LOL Our seats were quite far away from the pelamin, pengantin’s dining seats and the walkway. *sigh* Besides, we only know the father and not the pengantin. Kinda segan pulak to ask for a photo session with them. *wink*
With Jetson's colleagues
Top Pix - the chairman and the wife in white box. The head is mine! Hahaha...

Oya. Forgot bout the foods. Hmm… I think the food is ok lah! All dishes were served in a silver dome. So, nampak sikit lah! I tot it will be served dish by dish. Hehehe…

The dessert - Puding Sago Gula Melaka. Extremely sweet!!
Overall, I think we did enjoy our dinner very much! *grin*

** Finally, siap jg my dinner post. Kikiki…

2nd Wedding Anniversary *Updated*

I got a lot of things in mind rite now and I got some pending lists of posts for my blog that waiting for me to be typed.

Somehow, brain is not operating thou. *sigh*
Two years ago, on this date of June 1, 2009, i was officially become a wife to my hubby (of coz!). Yup, it's our second wedding anniversary today! Nope, no candle lite dinner or whatsoever. Even last year we didn't celebrate it as well. But, we had our trip to Langkawi the end of the month (a delayed celebration!)
As for this year, I just wanna wish hubby "Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary!" Sorry Dear, nothing from me this year.

I love the backdrop

I received a sms from a dear friend on Valentine's Day. It says, Love is not about finding the right person but creating a right relationship. It's not about how much love you have in the beginning but how much love you build till the end.

I like the wording very much. A couple can stay 'couple' for 10 years maybe but they might not be 'hubby and wife' for 10 years. You agree??

Tadaaa... I got presents from hubby and so do lil' Cucu. I smiled when hubby took out the presents from his bag. FYI, he seldom wraps present for me. The usual practise is that he will take me along and ask me to chose myself.

Shoes for us! He always wanted me to dress in 'corporate' look and that's why he bought me the shoe. As for lil' Cucu, the shoe is for our trip to Kuching this coming end of July. *grin*
Thanks Dear. Thanks Daddy.
I feel so bad pulak coz didn't buy him anything. *sigh*
