Jalan-Jalan Merdeka : Melaka

“Beb, jom p Melaka hjg mggu ni!”

That was what my friend, Lia whatsapp-ed me 3 days before Merdeka’s weekend. Dia ni memang!

Friday evening, I took bus from KL Sentral to KLIA2. Perasan touch down flight gitu!  Hahahah.. Lia fetched me there coz she stays in Banting. So, it will be nearer to head to Melaka.

The next day, 29/8/2015 (Sat), we departed as early as 7.30am. Punya semangat! After breakfast-stop at R&R Seremban, we arrive Melaka at about 10am! My last ‘official’ visit to Melaka was back in 2008! Fuhhh…

We had a gateway to Taman MiniMalaysia and A’Famosa Resort in 2011, and attended a wedding reception at BukitKatil Melaka in 2013 but we didn’t make it to Melaka Town.

So, I’m quite excited to explore Melaka again!

We parked car at Menara Taming Sari area and wandered around. Guess what, the Menara Taming Sari is still not exist back in 2008!

Nope, we didn’t take the ride of the Menara Taming Sari. We rode trishaw instead! It was my very first trishaw riding ever. It cost us RM25 per ride which cover 3 pit-stops. From Menara Taming Sari, stopped at Taman Merdeka, A’Famosa & Stadthuys.

A'Famosa still standing strong since 1511

At Stadthuys, we lepak at the river side, opposite Stadthuys. Had an ice-cream & cendol, just to recharge energy. Hehehe… And proceed walked along the Melaka River.

Photo session at Pirate Park before headed to Muzium Samudera. The Pirate Park also a new spot. The Muzium Samudera is getting ‘old’ anyway. Entrance fee is RM5 for MyKad holder (adult).

It’s the end of 1st session before we decided to check-in to hotel and refresh ourselves. So, 7 Day Inn it is! The hotel is located adjacent to The Shore. Walking distance bout 10-15mins to the abovementioned tourist attraction places.

Love the room!

2nd session, sesi membakar lemak! LOL.. we walked to Jonker Street. Sempat la ambik gambar di Hard Rock Café. For record, Jonker Street also still not exist back in 2008. Or maybe it was just a normal-kinda pasar malam back then.

Back to hotel and we drove to Hajjah Mona Asam Pedas, Tmn Kota Laksamana, recommended place to eat. Since parking was a big prob, we have to make another big round and stuck in jammed! I would say it was kinda late dinner.
